Title: Happiness, Joy and family bonding awaits you at December 25th
Article: Are you excited for the season of happiness, joy and family bonding? You should be because this time was not only plain “Christmas”, but its origin: The Birth of Jesus Christ. Jesus was born in Bethlehem and is our savior because he died for our sins 2000 years ago. This is the reason why we celebrate Christmas, not for gifts, but because our Lord and Savior was born. Even though in some countries, there is no snow in Christmas, or any gifts, the true meaning of Christmas is what’s important.
Christmas is a celebration we celebrate in the Philippines and other countries with the kind of religion that celebrates Christmas. We celebrate Christmas because it is the birthday of our savior Jesus. We also have other celebrations but in my opinion Christmas is the most important one. I think Christmas is the most important because it is a time where we can give gifts and others. I wish Christmas will never be forgotten
I believe that when Steve Harvey announced that the Philippines was Miss Universe for the year, everybody was both happy and surprised. Our representative, Catriona Gray, has a long history before joining this international beauty pageant. She was born in Australia, and was born to a foreign father and a local mother. She admired her father very much and said she follows this quote from him throughout her life, “The longest journeys start with one step”. She admires this particular quote because it inspires her to always take things one step at a time. Her admiring speeches during the pageant itself made many Filipinos proud and cheer loudly. Catriona came a long way, but just took things one step at a time, and arrived as the new Miss Universe.
The experience of the few months before Christmas in the Philippines. By Jesso Soriano Of 6-Mendiola
This article is going to talk about the four very exciting weeks before Christmas in the Philippines. First, in the Philippines you are going to start to see multiple people singing and multiple malls having Christmas sales on September this is because lots of Filipinos like to celebrate Christmas as long as possible. Second, you are going to see a lot parades going on the street this happens because Filipinos like making parades about the birth of Jesus. Third , you are going to see a lot of people eating on leaves in some restaurants, this called boodle fight this is when people eat on leaves with various kinds of food. Fourth, you can also see a bunch people dancing in very colorful costumes this happens because Filipinos like celebrating Christmas in the most flashy and colorful. - Jesso Soriano
This is the season of advent, the season where Catholics and Christians await the coming of Jesus. The season ends just before the day everyone waits for all year, CHRISTMAS! Christmas is the time people go home to the province to go to family and give gifts. People also go caroling during this day. But, most importantly, people go to Simbang-Gabi, a mass celebrating the coming of Jesus. Families also eat, sing, and give presents to each other. This season truly is for giving gifts and your love and being with your family.
Every Christmas day we celebrate the coming of our savior Jesus. People know that the Philippines always celebrates Christmas early because it’s still September but we can see parols on people’s houses. We celebrate it by going to Simbang Gabi and some people say that if you complete Simbang Gabi you can wish and the wish that you you want will come true. Children always practices Christmas carols to earn money to put in there piggy bank. On Christmas day we get a chance to be with our loved ones.
CHRISTMAS! This Christmas, we celebrate the birth of our lord and savior Jesus Christ. We Filipinos start preparing for Christmas way earlier than any other country, while they start late November to early December, we start at September. Preparing for Christmas is really fun, more fun if you’re preparing with your family. Another fun part of a Filipino Christmas is the Noche Buena that we have midnight of Christmas day. All in all, Christmas is very fun, especially with your family.
I was so surprised when I was watching miss universe and I watched it hoping that we would win and by we I mean the whole Philippines. I was so inspired when I heard Miss Philippines say “ the longest journeys starts with one step” this showed me that I have so much life ahead of me and that I should spend it happily. The Miss Philippines really surprised me this year with her words the moment I heard her say that she would name her song “raise your flag” because and I quote “ I stand here not as one but as one hundred and four million Filipinos”. And a fact about her is that she is the fourth Filipina to win the Miss Universe title. I am so happy to know that yet again we showed other countries our fighting power this really gave me hope to not give up in the things I do everyday

Last December 17, 2018, the Miss Universe competition was held in Impact, Muang Thong Thani, Pak Kret, Thailand in which Miss Philippines, Catriona Gray, claimed the title of Miss Universe. Not only was she beautiful at the competition, but she also showed that she remembered us the Filipinos by wanting to make a song for the Filipinos called “Raise Your Flag”. Nearing the end of the competition, she also said that she agreed to the use of marijuana, but only for medical use. She also said a few words of advice for her dad. Her rival, South Africa and she herself ended up in tears as she, Catriona Gray won and claimed the Miss Universe title. I hope that the Philippines will win again next year.
Christmas 2018 By: Martin Pascual 6-Biak-na-Bato Christmas is near and everyone is in a hurry to buy the best gifts for their relatives. While this causes joy in the hearts of many people world-wide, let us not forget the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ. We should rejoice during this joyous occasion but we should also take time to remember and reflect on the birth of Jesus Christ. Without him, we would have never had salvation and have eternal life. And so, let us remember this; Christmas may be about presents and shopping but it is also about the birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior.
The Filipino Christmas: Traditions & Beliefs The Filipino Christmas is full of wonderful traditions and beliefs. First is the “Noche Buena” celebration, this is the feast that we Filipinos celebrate on Christmas Eve. Second is the “Rooster’s Mass” and the “Misa de Gallo” these masses mean the same thing and it is here as “Simbang Gabi”. We Filipinos also believe that if you complete the 9 day mass your wish on Christmas Eve will come true. But even with these beliefs and traditions we Filipinos never forget the true meaning of Christmas. Well that’s how we celebrate our Christmas, how about you how do you celebrate Christmas.
It’s the season we’ve all been waiting for again! Christmas!
Only a few days until Christmas day! Christmas is on December 25 which is on a Tuesday. Christmas is just about Jesus’ birth and it is just 8 days away. Christmas in not about just receiving but rather giving to others. Also we celebrate this because Jesus is our savior and we welcome him by celebrating Christmas. Not just that but also we kids also receive gifts. From December 16 until Christmas eve, we all go to the traditional “Simbang Gabi”. Gian Madrid 6 Kawit
Every time it’s Christmas everybody thinks of: gifts, food and some reunions but there are more than that. The true meaning of Christmas is Jesus entering our world to save us from our sins. I really love Christmas not only because of the celebrations and decorations but also the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the true meaning of this season!
Every Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus. In the Philippines we start celebrating Christmas as early as September. The Filipino’s cherish this season with love, joy and laughter. The symbols of Christmas are the parols and advent wreaths, this is why you could see the colorful lights and parols on houses. This season is one of the most special seasons and I hope you enjoy celebrating Christmas in the Philippines.

The season of Christmas starts at Advent which lasts 4 weeks. After 4 weeks of waiting, we celebrate the joyous season where we spend time with our families. We prepare Christmas by preparing food, buying gifts, but most importantly we need to prepare our hearts for Jesus. We also have traditions here in the Philippines like hanging parols on our homes, going to simbang gabi and after finishing mass you can also eat desserts such as puto bumbong and bibingka.
In a few days, Christmas will be here! Jesus is also once again with us. As many of you know, many people celebrate this holiday around the world. Even in countries which there biggest religions are not Catholic they still celebrate Christmas. This shows you how important Christmas is to Christians and to everybody around the world. Around 2018 years ago, Jesus Christ was born in a cave at Bethlehem. Many people came like the 3 Kings and etc…., eventually many people came to realize how important this is after many years, that without this event the world would not be save by sin. Many scholars set the date of Jesus’ birth in December 25 and made this day a special holiday around the world. Made by: Daniel Mallari 6-EDSA
Miss Universe 2018. The Crown Comes Home “A long journey always comes from a single step.” This is what Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray from the Philippines said. Knowing that Miss Catriona Gray won the Miss Universe title, many Filipinos felt very proud and patriotic that someone from their country was able to win the Miss Universe crown. They felt proud and patriotic because if a Filipino is able to win a crown and achieve something very big, many other Filipinos can also do something great that might be able to change the world. The Filipinos feel empowered because they feel that people can shape the world and some of these people come from their country. Solutions to big problems can be made by people like Miss Gray which generally relieved many people. Many people are also given hope because their life is given notice by the people who overall participated in Miss Universe.
