Ateneo de Manila's Big Blue Run is back 2019

We're big
We're blue
We're back!
This March 24, 2019, the Ateneo Athletics Program, in cooperation with Trackstar Sport and RSRJ Events Management, is bringing back the campus’ very own and eagerly awaited BIG BLUE RUN!
For the BBR comeback leg, we have put together three categories: 3k 5k 10k
Each course will take you through a scenic tour of the Loyola Campus, the 5k and 10k routes will be using one of the newest roads in the campus!

Participate in the SUPPORTSMANSHIP AWARDS by registering you or your family with the Grade School, Junior High School, Senior High School Class, College Org, College PE Class OR Program Sport that you choose!
Groups with the most number of registered runners under each category will get recognized on the event day and will receive a plaque and prizes from sponsors!
We will be encouraging camaraderie through “boosting” stickers where each participant will be getting in their kits to boost up their friends, either with a special perk during the run or sponsorship goodies at the end of the race.
Since it is also summertime we are adding a bit of color to the run by making use of colored powder (all different shades of blue) as the “loop markers” per distance.
Come join us on March 24, 2019, at the Ateneo De Manila Campus Grounds for a fun run like you haven't seen in Katipunan before!

Here are the previous Big Blue Run events that we attended:

At the Big Blue Run II, I broke my personal record for 10 K and finished it in 55 minutes. :)

So Sure Bladder Leakage Pads for a Dry & Fresh Pregnancy

Say Goodbye to Common Urinary & Vaginal Problems with a Product that’s Designed to Keep your Growing Body Leak-Free

Congratulations! You’re having a baby. It’s time to break out the diapers, the pacifiers, and lullabies. As most moms have warned, life won't just be about those cute baby things. There's morning sickness, nausea, and possibly some urinary or vaginal issues.

Don’t worry—these are all very normal in pregnancy. Your body is changing and working overtime every second to form that little bundle of joy, so you may want to take it easy on yourself as to why you may be experiencing quite a couple of not-so-pretty conditions and problems.

Pregnancy has its ups and downs, but thankfully, these are all temporary and always worth it once you see your little one for the very first time. Here are some of the very common vaginal problems moms-to-be encounter during pregnancy:

1.     Candidiasis
Also known as yeast infection. This is caused by the hormone changes in your body that disrupt the pH balance of your vagina. Its symptoms are vaginal itching and a white, thick discharge that resembles cottage cheese. Candidiasis can be easily treated by over the counter medications but you must seek your doctor’s advise if you suspect to have this problem.

2.     Stress incontinence
Ever experienced a bit of pee leaking after a big sneeze or when you laugh? It can be embarrassing but remember—this is completely normal in pregnancy. Stress incontinence is caused by the pressure your ever-growing uterus places on your bladder which often causes less control. Prevent this condition through Kegel exercises—which is by stopping your urine stream for a few seconds at a time every time you pee. Kegels strengthens your urethra and the muscles around your vagina and anus. This exercise is especially helpful to prepare for normal childbirth delivery. Kegels also help prevent incontinence post-delivery.

3.     Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
One to three percent of women encounter a urinary tract infection during their pregnancy. This is again caused by your expanding uterus which crowds your bladder. It prevents you from emptying your bladder completely, thereby exposing it to bacteria for longer periods of time. Making sure you are faithful in going to all your OB visits for your pre-natal checkups can help you avoid and prevent developing UTI. As your pregnancy progresses, your doctor will most likely request for you to take a few exams to ensure you do not have any infection that will not affect you or your baby.

These common urinary and vaginal problems in pregnancy may be troublesome and even embarrassing at some point, but you do not have to add this to your list of worries any longer.

So Sure Bladder Leakage Pad is a high-quality incontinence pad that is essential from pregnancy to childbirth. Additionally, it has antibacterial, antifungal, and has odor control features that are also safe for pregnant women to use. Mothers-to-be can have one less thing to think about with So Sure Bladder Leakage Pad.

A recent test by registered chemist Yasmin D.G. Edañol of the Institute of Chemistry of the University of the Philippines showed that “test results with existing studies provide strong claims that the product is super absorbent and has antimicrobial and odor controlling properties. In addition, the product is hypoallergenic and non-toxic for everyone including pregnant women. People suffering from urinary incontinence or involuntary urination will definitely benefit from this product by minimizing the discomfort brought upon by UI as it can absorb 3x the capacity of an imported brand while providing up to 4 hours of freshness.”

He adds, “The lock-in wetness feature of the pads ensures that no leakage occurs even at full capacity. Finally, the pads can prevent odor emission for 4 hours even at full capacity.”

Enjoy a carefree pregnancy with So Sure Bladder Leakage Pad. It is available in two sizes, 340 mm for light drips or spurts and 450 mm for burst or surges. So Sure Bladder Leakage Pad can even be used post-delivery for any discharges from urine to blood.

So Sure Bladder Leakage Pad is available at all Mercury Drug, Waltermart, selected Robinson Department Store health & beauty section nationwide for only P204 (340 mm) and P294 (450 mm). Each pack contains two pieces or 24 pieces per box. To know more, visit www.sosurepads.ph and like/follow at @sosurepadsph on Facebook and Instagram. Belle De Jour Loyalist

I started my #BelleDeJour journey since 2014. I already tried using their different types of planners and I love the colorful, magical designs. 😇 Last year, when my ex-boyfriend-present-husband proposed, I customized my planner with the name Mrs. Donaire. I see that everyday, for 11 months even if I was still called Ms. Perez. 😍 Then, this December 1st, our dream wedding came true! I'm now really Mrs. Donaire! 😇💙

As an educator, editor, lector-commentator, ultramarathoner, cyclist, Running Photographer, graphic artist, mountaineer, entrepreneur, school paper moderator, events host, charity rides sponsorship head, eldest daughter, and now also a wife, my planners are truly utilized every day.

And I'm delighted because I accomplish almost everything that I write there (including be the Champion Runner in an event with 3000+ other runners, finish a bike ride from Manila all the way to Bicol, Banaue Rice Terraces and Boracay, and acquire Wedding Papal Blessing from Vatican City!). Truly, there can be miracles if we believe!😇

"Magic is believing in yourself. If you can do that, you can make anything happen."
- Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

This 2019, I'm now so excited to use my Belle De Jour petite planner and classic planner!
